| SPEAKING with the DEAD? A SOAR Investigation Report |
On February 23, 2008, SOAR had the opportunity to investigate a private business in Brown
County, Ohio. The reports of paranormal activity included strange photographs showing a
hooded figure, odd flares, rods and orbs. There were also incidents of physical contact,
strange dowsing rod activity and psychic contact.
SOAR investigators present were Melinda, Nick, Lora, LB and Cameron. We started our
investigation at 10:00 p.m by doing our standard base readings and did note that the
basement area there were many exposed electrical lines with high EMF readings. The EMF
readings fluctuated throughout the building but other than the basement area they were
averaging between .1 and 5MG.
We employed the use of our dowsing rods in hopes to capture the strange dowsing rod activity
that had been reported by the client. SOAR did not note any strange activity during this time.
After we investigated for approximately 2 1/2 hours and had no remarkable experience or
fluctuations on our equipment, we decided to have the business owner return in hopes that her
presence would spark an increase in activity.
SOAR observed the client use dowsing rods for yes or no answers to contact entities that were
possibly present at the time as well as proceed with Automatic writing. During this time, we
noticed that are EMF detectors spiked to over 10MG while she was trying to make contact. In
this same area earlier we were getting fluctuations of .1 to 3MG. We had the client move from
the particular area and the EMF spikes went back down to their base fluctuation readings.
This was an interesting observation.
Upon review of the evidence we were able to capture a few EVP's. We did not find any video
evidence nor photographic evidence but were able to recreate some effects that looked similar
to what they had captured in their photos.

Notice what looks like several orbs. We believe these to be standard dust orbs that are
reflecting light from lights of the cameras.

EVPS:
EVP#1
This EVP was captured during the Automatic writing period. Client asks if "1964 is that right?"
and the reply sounds like "Witch"( A mans voice).
EVP#2
This EVP was captured without the client present. You hear Nick asking,"Do you think it is odd
what we are doing here?" Reply is a child like or female voice saying "Yeah" very quickly at the
end.
EVP#3
This EVP was captured during the Automatic writing period. You will hear the client ask twice to
confirm the spirits name as James. EVP-The third reply is"James" made by a whispering male
voice. There will be a pause then the client says "James" again.
(This EVP cut is a long one and you may have trouble playing it.)
Conclusion- Although we were able to recreate some of the photographic evidence and collect no video
evidence, we were able to capture EVP's. We can say that we believe there is some sort of paranormal
activity. Is it at the location, was it brought to the location through the use of psychic contact? It is a
definite possibility. We are hoping to continue to investigate the associated paranormal activity with the
above client in a neutral location to examine their Channeling abilities. More to come........,
